A coil label carries three numbers that have to agree with each other: linear mass, coil length and net weight. Multiply the first two and you should land on the third. Where they do not agree, one of them is wrong, and it is usually the one you were quoted on.

Why this catches a real problem
Across all six published UD Packaging rows the net coil weight is a constant 20 kg while length moves from 800 m to 2140 m, because linear mass moves with it. A coil offered as 24.7 g/m over 1200 m is claiming roughly 29.6 kg of strap in a package sold as a 20 kg coil. Either the grade is not what the label says, or the length is not what you are paying for.
Planning Assumptions
Model assumptions stated plainly: implied net weight is linear mass multiplied by length divided by 1000, deviation is measured against the net weight printed on the label, and the acceptance band is yours to set because it belongs in your written acceptance criteria rather than in a supplier’s tool. This checks internal arithmetic consistency only. It cannot tell you whether the declared linear mass is itself correct; that is a weighed-sample question for goods-in.
