Coil Consumption and Changeover Planner

Two numbers decide whether a coil price is actually the cheaper one: how much strap a load consumes, and how often the line stops to change coils. This works both out from the published rows.

Planning Assumptions

Model assumptions stated plainly: consumption is linear mass multiplied by metres consumed, coil count is metres consumed divided by published coil length, and no allowance is added for waste, failed joints or line trials. Strap length per pallet is yours to supply because strap count is an output of a controlled trial, not something a supplier can assume. The 1,000 kg figure this tool compares against is an initial RFQ planning quantity; the final minimum order quantity is confirmed in the written quotation.
