Does green PET strapping prove recycled content?

No. Colour is a visual property, while recycled content is a material claim that needs a declaration or appropriate third-party and transaction evidence.

What should support a “GRS certified PET strapping” claim?

Ask for the active scope certificate, certified organisation and site, covered product category, validity and transaction evidence where required. GRS is a Textile Exchange scheme; the scheme’s existence does not prove UD certification.

Can rPET strapping replace steel strapping?
