A PET strapping manufacturer that owns the whole production chain
UD Packaging is an integrated manufacturing and export enterprise rooted in plastic packaging materials. From our production base in Jiangyin, Wuxi, we run automated PET strapping lines that we developed and commissioned ourselves — covering the complete chain from PET granulation through to the finished reel.
Over the past decade that control has earned us long-term partnerships with well-known manufacturers in China and overseas, in industries where a strap failure is not an inconvenience but an accident.

An industry-and-trade enterprise, not a trading desk
Plenty of suppliers can quote you a price on PET strapping. Far fewer can tell you what happened to the material before it reached the reel. UD Packaging is an integrated industry and trade enterprise — we manufacture what we sell, and we sell what we manufacture.
Our modern manufacturing base sits in Jiangyin, Wuxi, in Jiangsu Province, at the centre of China’s plastic packaging supply chain. There we have independently developed and introduced advanced automated production lines for PET strapping, and built the process out in both directions: upstream into PET granulation, downstream into finished goods, seals and machines.
That structure is what lets us hold a specification across repeat orders instead of chasing whatever the spot market offers that month. It is also why buyers who started with a trial pallet are still with us a decade later — including well-known manufacturers in China and in export markets across the Americas, Europe, Southeast Asia and the Middle East.

How we produce
From PET granulation to the finished reel
Most strapping suppliers buy the granules, or buy the strap. We control the chain end to end. That is the reason the tensile figures on our test report are the figures you get in the container — batch after batch, not just on the sample roll.

PET granulation
We granulate our own PET feedstock to a controlled specification rather than buying finished granules on the spot market. Consistency in the strap begins here.

Extrusion
Granules are dried and extruded into a flat band under controlled melt temperature and throughput, setting the width and thickness tolerance.

Stretching
The band is drawn to orient the polymer chains along the pull direction. This is the step that decides tensile strength and elongation at break.

Heat setting and embossing
Heat setting locks in dimensional stability so the strap holds tension in transit instead of relaxing. Embossing adds the grip that friction welds and machine feed rely on.

Winding and release
Reels are wound to your core and coil specification, sampled for tensile and joint strength, and released against the order with the test data attached.

Quality control
Tested to standard,
not described in adjectives
In heavy-duty packaging, safety and stability are not features. They are the lifeline of the whole shipment. A strap that relaxes in a container or a joint that opens on a forklift is not a quality complaint — it is a damaged load and, sometimes, an injured operator.
So every UD Packaging product goes through strict internal quality control, and our products have passed SGS international product quality testing. We run tensile testing to the GB/T 1040 series, and we check joint strength as well as strap strength — because straps fail at the joint far more often than in the middle.
The result: the tensile strength and elongation at break of every roll reach the top level of the industry, and we can show you the numbers rather than assert them.
